The Better of Me

Kind of struggling with this piece. Started listening to my self talk...the house is important to me symbolically and in the painting...the road and telephone wires too.

The idea of safety at home - physical safety for sure - this place seems a bit remote - but emotional safety and just being able to be okay with the stuff in the world moving by. I started engaging emotionally with the painting, adding paint over paint and before long the sky changed from what started mostly orange to greens and blues.

At some point, my emotions were getting the better of me so I slowed it down to finish. So its how I entitled the piece.
